A patent recently filed by Apple hints at how the company might handle home automation technology.
According to a report from Apple Insider, the automation uses a combination of the user's mobile devices and location data.
The report explains the user could incorporate certain preset functions, such as turning lights on or temperature change, would turn on or off based on where the user was located.
