LinkedIn shares tumble 10%
SAN FRANCISCO -- LinkedIn shares fell 10% in trading on
Wednesday, a day after the company guided revenue expectations in its current
quarter lower than forecasts.
Shares of LinkedIn fell $23.51, or 9.5%, at $223.63 in afternoon
trading.
The company's fourth-quarter revenue guidance came in at $415
million to $420 million. That was below expectations for $438 million in the
quarter, according to the survey of estimates from Thomson Reuters.
The
professional-networking giant reported third-quarter net income of $46.8
million on revenue of $393 million, beating expectations. Analysts had
projected LinkedIn to report net income of $37 million on $385.4 million in
revenue for the quarter
